American singer, songwriter and musician Katy Perry has been called the New Queen of Pop and after her album Teenage Dream (2010) produced its fifth Billboard Hot 100 number-one single with Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.), few people could argue the pop diva from Santa Barbara, California, had scaled the dizziest of heights in the world of music.
Perry is married to English comedian and actor Russell Brand, the couple wed in Rajasthan, India, in October 2010 after Brand had proposed to pop music’s latest prima donna at Rajasthan’s Ranthambhore tiger sanctuary in January the same year.
